About Lee

Lee Lichtenstein is an artist born in Israel who now lives in Zürich. Her works are characterized by a deep exploration of identity, belonging, and interpersonal connection. Her artistic practice includes both painting and sculpture, dissolving the boundaries between the two media and developing new forms of representation.

Lichtenstein experiments with materiality and surface structures. Her works often contain multi-layered textures and reliefs that gain an additional dimension through the play of light and shadow. She uses various techniques to create depth and make her works appear more three-dimensional. This hybrid form between painting and sculpture makes her work unique.

Thematically, her work often deals with migration, cultural identities, and personal memories. Her own experience of having lived in different cities and cultures significantly influences her art. She reflects on the dynamics of being a stranger and the search for a place of belonging, which resonates subtly in her works.

Lichtenstein has exhibited in several international exhibitions and has made a name for herself in the art scene. Her works are part of private and public collections. She remains an artist who experiments with materials and concepts, raising profound questions about humanity and cultural identity.
